Architect by training. Product designer by obsession.
The same instinct that drew me to landscape architecture, how do humans actually move through their environments, turned out to be the whole job in product design. I've been obsessed ever since.
From site plans to product surfaces.
I trained as a landscape architect at Clemson, designing how people inhabit space, where the path goes, what gets in the way. After a few years at TBG Partners, I realized the user research side was where my attention went, and I followed it into product.
Smashing Boxes (2019-2020) taught me to ship under client pressure and build design systems that engineers would actually use. Ontada at McKesson (2020-2022) put me inside an oncology EHR, the kind of regulated, high-stakes complexity that teaches you to take craft seriously. ShiftKey (2022-2026) is where leadership and strategy clicked in and I developed a real love for design alignment across an organization.
Now I'm looking for the next place to do that work at scale: a product-led team where design is a first-class voice on the strategy table.
What I bring at the senior level.
End-to-end ownership
Discovery through delivery. I don't hand off, I work alongside engineering until the thing ships well.
Cross-functional fluency
Product, marketing, engineering, exec. I can run a stakeholder workshop in the morning and review a Figma file in the afternoon.
Systems & storytelling
I think in patterns, work in endless iterations, and explain the bigger picture in language non-designers actually use.
Where I've worked, briefly.
Senior Product Designer
Led end-to-end strategy and launch of a monetization feature that increased revenue by $16M across 88K users in its first 2 years, projected to unlock $40M. Spearheaded a design workshop with 6 senior cross-functional stakeholders and led research with 58 user participants across mixed methods. Managed three rounds of iteration that streamlined onboarding enough to expand into a new healthcare market segment.
Senior UX/UI Designer
Designed high-impact features for complex clinical workflows in oncology EHR, Clinical Noting, Billing & Charge Capture, Patient Portal. Managed contextual user research through 6 onsite studies, workflow observations, and stakeholder interviews. Collaborated with 10+ stakeholders across 5+ projects, balancing technical constraints, regulatory environments, and usability.
UX/UI Designer
Partnered with engineers to establish 5 key interaction patterns and design system components. Conducted qualitative user research across 10+ projects. Developed journey maps and interactive prototypes that aligned cross-functional teams on complex user flows and influenced product strategy through executive-ready storytelling.
Designer
Urban planning and landscape architecture firm. Built foundational expertise in systems thinking and visual communication, the layer that still informs how I approach product design today.
How I work
A few things that aren't on the resume.
I'm a competitive runner, everything from the mile to the marathon, and the occasional swimmer and cyclist. I've recently found a love for writing and illustrating children's picture books, as well as creating and crafting in a multitude of mediums.
I keep a small jungle of plants alive in my sunroom, play wordle daily, and try to learn one new thing every quarter. This year so far, Sourdough and Mahjong.
Enneagram 7. Annoying optimistic, as a rule.
