Designing products
that move metrics
and minds.
I'm Lisa, a Senior Product Designer with 7+ years across health-tech, EHRs, and generative AI. I turn complex systems into elegant experiences, and I'm fluent in the messy reality between user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Three projects, briefly.
Re-envisioning the user's profile.
When ShiftKey expanded into Acute Care, the existing profile couldn't carry the weight. Led the design of two new profile states, one for users in onboarding, one for users actively working, and the surface that powered the platform's $16M growth push.
Redesigning the oncology EHR clinicians actually use.
High-impact features for iKnowMed, Clinical Noting, Billing & Charge Capture, designed inside a complex regulatory environment, informed by 6 onsite contextual research studies and 10+ stakeholders.
Stop scrolling. Start finding.
A self-initiated redesign of Family Hub, the daycare app used by Goddard Schools, that takes an infinite-scroll feed and gives parents a way to navigate by date, child, and event. Built with Figma + Claude.
Three things I lean on at the senior level.
Outcomes over outputs.
I start with the business question, what are we actually trying to move?, and reverse-engineer the design surface from there. Roadmaps, north-star vision, and platform thinking are part of the design role, not adjacent to it.
Evidence beats opinion.
My approach to research is pretty hands-on and iterative, more like prototyping than theorizing. I'll use whatever method gets us closest to the real signal: surveys, moderated or unmoderated sessions, even quick contextual studies in the field. The goal is simple, learn fast, stay close to what people actually do, and make decisions based on that reality.
Deliverables with thoughtful details.
I focus on designing clear, cohesive experiences without relying on a heavy systems layer. That means creating patterns and components where they add real value, and making sure the details hold up across different touchpoints. I stay close to how designs get built, so what ships feels consistent, intentional, and well-crafted.
